Custom Fabrication of Stainless Steel Platform Stand Weldment


A client in the food packaging industry came to us to manufacture platform stands that support the robotic functions of an automated packaging line. Our master machinists and experienced certified welders fabricated the 60" X 48" X 60" platform stands from 1" thick stainless steel and rectangular stainless steel tubing by using CNC waterjet and laser cutting, and our MIG and TIG welding capabilities. Using our large format welding positioner ensured the accuracy of our welds. The parts were sandblasted to produce level and zero voids in weld areas. Working to tolerances of ± 1/32", we completed the 10 units in the specified 4-6 week turnaround time.
